Resource Advisor+ brings AI assistance into a connected sustainability platform; Resource Advisor Classic covers energy and resource management; EcoCare applies analytics alongside asset services. The important choice is whether the immediate problem is understanding enterprise data, managing equipment or controlling on-site energy resources.

Schneider Electric's AI solutions overview describes applications across buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industry. Those applications should be separated by function. An assistant interpreting energy data, a predictive maintenance service and software coordinating distributed energy resources can all use AI while carrying very different operational responsibilities.

The current Resource Advisor+ platform presents specialized products for carbon performance, climate risk, reporting and compliance, and supply chain. Sera is its AI assistant, described as coordinating specialized agents using Schneider Electric advisory knowledge. That is a vendor-described capability, not evidence that an answer is suitable for a particular reporting or capital-allocation decision.

Resource Advisor Classic is still presented separately. Its focus includes resource consumption, procurement information, site comparisons and energy risk. The distinction matters for existing customers: the presence of Sera on the newer platform does not establish that every Classic account receives every Resource Advisor+ feature automatically.

EcoCare combines connected asset monitoring, predictive analytics and expert support. Microgrid Advisor has another role: its product page describes cloud software for forecasting and optimizing distributed energy resources. Neither should be treated as a feature of a sustainability reporting seat.

These audiences often share data but do not make identical decisions. A site engineer may know why energy consumption rose during commissioning, while a central reporting team sees only an unexplained monthly increase. The value of a shared platform depends on whether that local context reaches the people using the number, without disappearing into a separate email thread.

We have not implemented this workflow or measured savings. Begin with a facility where the team can obtain bills, interval readings and reliable operational context.

First reconcile the billing period, meter identity, currency and units. A supplier correction, estimated reading or overlapping invoice can create an apparent increase without a change in consumption. Keep the original invoice and record any correction separately. This is an analytical requirement for the pilot, rather than an assumption that the software can resolve every source-data problem automatically.

Then compare consumption with the relevant operating context. Production volume, operating hours and a newly commissioned line can each change the meaning of a monthly total. Ask the team to distinguish an absolute increase from a change in energy intensity. A lower bill caused by a tariff change does not necessarily indicate a more efficient process, and a higher bill does not automatically identify wasted energy.

Use the platform's analysis and assistance to investigate a bounded question, such as which sites show a similar pattern or which days account for the change. The energy-management description includes bill analysis, budget comparisons and interval data. Require the proposed answer to preserve the contributing records and the time period used, so another analyst can reproduce it.

If Sera is part of the selected Resource Advisor+ configuration, test its explanation against a small set of known cases. Include a missing meter interval, a duplicated invoice and a facility whose activity changed. Record whether the assistant distinguishes observed facts from a suggested explanation. An answer that confidently invents an operating cause should fail the exercise even if its chart is visually persuasive.

Finally, route the finding to the person who can investigate the equipment or contract. A facilities inspection, invoice dispute and procurement review are different actions. Keep recommendations separate from completed interventions. If an equipment issue warrants EcoCare involvement, use the asset's actual support process rather than assuming an analytical alert has already created a service request.

At the next review, compare the accepted intervention with the original hypothesis. Preserve the baseline and account for changes in weather or production where relevant. This creates a learning record about the decision, rather than a collection of AI-generated explanations. It also reveals whether the main improvement came from assistance, better source data or clearer ownership between teams.

The current public pages use demonstration and sales routes rather than one universal per-user tariff. Resource Advisor+ presents modular products and implementation support. The Classic page directs interested teams to Schneider Electric experts. No verified numeric subscription price is supplied here because those opened pages did not publish one.

Build the commercial request around the actual workflow: selected products, facilities, data sources, history to import, users and support needs. Ask which AI capabilities are included and how additional modules change the agreement. A demonstration of the broader portfolio is insufficient evidence that a quoted configuration includes the same features or data coverage.

EcoCare's service description ties the offer to monitoring, emergency support and maintenance. Equipment eligibility, response arrangements and the selected service plan therefore matter alongside software access. For Microgrid Advisor, the public page identifies a software-as-a-service model, but a system project may also require integration and commissioning. Obtain those scopes explicitly rather than deriving a budget from a generic cloud-software comparison.

The Climate Risk launch announcement states that Resource Advisor+ for Climate Risk is available globally through SE Advisory Services. It connects climate exposure with portfolio and financial-impact analysis. This expands the platform's decision scope, while making assumptions and methodology especially important: a modeled risk is different from a measured site event.

Our assessment is that the combination deserves evaluation when an organization wants connected operational and sustainability decisions. The expected benefit should be framed as an improvement to a specific process, such as resolving incomplete bills or investigating outliers. We have not independently verified vendor savings claims, and the presence of an AI assistant does not make a reporting dataset complete or independently assured.

Existing customers should ask which product currently holds their history and how that information is exposed to newer capabilities. The public pages establish parallel product positioning, but they do not establish every customer's migration path, entitlement or timetable. Demonstrate the proposed workflow in the account configuration the team would actually receive.

The data questions are equally concrete. Can an analyst trace an adjusted number back to its original invoice? What happens when a site changes ownership or a meter is replaced? Which calculations are refreshed after a source correction? These questions test the reliability of the decision process without assuming that a product description proves the answers.

For any proposed movement from recommendation to physical control, establish a separate operational design. A useful energy forecast is not by itself an approved instruction to change equipment operation. Keep facility constraints, responsible personnel and the existing commissioning process explicit, and evaluate the relevant control product on its own documented capabilities.
