Tiger Analytics develops enterprise data and AI systems using engineering services, reusable libraries and business-specific solutions. Its Open IP approach makes the ownership and handover of the resulting system an unusually important buying question. The offer suits teams that want help building a capability they can understand and operate, with managed delivery also available.

In brief
  1. 01The building blocks TigerML supports machine-learning development and operation; solutions such as ForecastPro apply those capabilities to a defined business problem.
  2. 02The commercial distinction Tiger describes both knowledge-transfer arrangements and a managed SaaS model. Open IP should not be read as a free public software license.
  3. 03Research boundary Public primary sources were consulted on 14 October 2026. The forecasting evaluation is proposed, with no independent benchmark or product test.

01 / ProductEngineering services with reusable foundations

Tiger Analytics organizes services around strategy, data engineering, AI/ML and operationalizing insights. Its AI engineering practice describes natural-language processing, generative AI, computer vision, reinforcement learning and edge deployments. That breadth makes it an implementation partner rather than a single-purpose model API. The relevant capability depends on the actual business problem and the proposed delivery team.

TigerML is a toolkit of components for exploration, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment and monitoring. The page describes reusable PySpark feature pipelines, model comparison and drift-triggered retraining. A buyer can discuss using the full workflow or selected modules to complement an existing environment. The toolkit is therefore best understood as reusable engineering material, with integration still required for the customer’s data and process.

ForecastPro supplies a more specific example: demand forecasting, driver explanations, scenario planning and planner overrides. Its published design includes modeling algorithms and backtesting, plus links to model-registry and feature-store concepts. Those features help define an evaluation, but do not establish forecasting accuracy for a new product portfolio. The company is distinct from the database company Tiger Data.

02 / AudienceFor teams that want visibility into what gets built

A manufacturer with several brands may have a central data team and experienced planners, yet lack a consistent forecasting pipeline. One market uses spreadsheets, another has a legacy model, and promotional assumptions differ. Tiger’s offer is relevant when the company wants an engineered system and enough knowledge transfer to keep adapting it, rather than treating every change as a new black-box vendor request.

The internal team must still own the business interpretation. A model developer cannot decide whether a product launch should inherit history from a predecessor without input from commercial staff. Nor can a planning interface determine whether a one-off promotion is repeatable. The strongest engagement pairs technical work with people who understand the product hierarchy, commercial calendar and consequences of being wrong.

A buyer with no appetite for operating software may prefer a managed arrangement and should make that preference clear early. A small team with a standard forecasting requirement may find an established packaged application easier to adopt. Open IP is useful when the ability to inspect and change the system has business value; it is not automatically an advantage if no one will maintain the transferred code.

03 / WorkflowA proposed ForecastPro evaluation for promotions

Consider a packaged-goods manufacturer planning a promotion across several product families. The evaluation goal is to compare scenarios and understand forecast changes before a planner commits a commercial plan. This is a proposed use of the published ForecastPro capabilities, not a description of a performed deployment.

  1. 01

    Freeze the historical decision point

Reconstruct what the planner actually knew before earlier promotions began: prices, distribution, promotion mechanics and available sales history. Keep later outcomes out of the input snapshot. Otherwise a convincing backtest can accidentally benefit from knowledge that would never have existed in production.

  2. 02

    Model the product relationships

Agree how packs, brands, markets and successor products relate. Include launches and discontinued items in the evaluation rather than removing them for convenience. The data model should explain how history is reused and how forecasts reconcile across planning levels.

  3. 03

    Compare a baseline and scenarios

Evaluate the proposed model against the current planning method on the same held-out periods. Then vary a defined assumption, such as a promotion date or depth. Show which inputs changed and which stayed fixed so a scenario is not mistaken for a prediction of an unrelated future.

  4. 04

    Record the planner’s intervention

Ask a planner to inspect demand drivers, adjust an assumption and document why an override is justified. Preserve the model forecast separately from the approved plan. That distinction allows later analysis of whether human changes helped or consistently introduced bias.

  5. 05

    Prove the handover

Have the internal team rerun a forecast, inspect a model version and alter an approved configuration. Reproduce the same result from the same input snapshot. This tests whether the promised visibility and transfer produce an operable capability.

ForecastPro describes both planner overrides and control over model-refresh frequency. In the evaluation, those controls should have a documented owner. Refreshing a model during a planning cycle can make two apparently comparable forecasts depend on different assumptions. A release record linking data, code, configuration and model versions helps the business explain why a plan changed.

Tiger’s MLOps practice covers deployment, monitoring and production-oriented ML engineering. The practical requirement is to preserve reproducibility as the workflow moves from a notebook into scheduled business use. Check what happens when an input feed arrives late or a market’s data is incomplete. A clear withheld forecast can be more useful than an unexplained number delivered on time.

04 / PricingOpen IP changes the commercial discussion

Tiger’s Open IP page says configured code libraries can become part of the client’s intellectual property with knowledge transfer and no licensing. It also says some customers prefer a SaaS arrangement in which Tiger manages the solution. These are distinct delivery choices. The page does not provide a standard project rate or a universal managed-service tariff.

Commercial descriptions from Tiger Open IP and ForecastPro, consulted 14 October 2026. Contract terms and numeric prices require confirmation.

Do not turn the words Open IP into a claim that all TigerML software is publicly downloadable under an open-source license. The public description concerns how solutions are delivered to customers. Request the contractual schedule identifying transferred code, pre-existing materials and external libraries. Rights to use a resulting solution and rights to redistribute every component are different questions.

For the manufacturer, compare total operating responsibilities alongside the quoted fee. A handover requires staff who can maintain environments, review dependency updates and respond to failed data pipelines. A managed arrangement moves some of that work into the service scope, but the business still owns planning assumptions and acceptance. The contact page provides the public route for clarifying those arrangements.

05 / DistinctionsReusable tools can support a bespoke system

TigerML’s modular structure offers a middle path between starting every project from scratch and adopting a fixed application. The useful benefit would be faster assembly of standard engineering components while preserving room for business-specific logic. Whether that happens depends on how well the modules fit the existing stack and how much custom maintenance the resulting system introduces.

DataRobot offers a comparison centered on an enterprise AI platform, while Dataiku is relevant for collaborative data and AI development. Databricks belongs in the conversation when selecting the underlying data and machine-learning environment. Tiger’s distinct question is how engineering services and transferable components fit around that platform. A buyer may use a platform and a delivery partner together.

06 / QuestionsQuestions to ask before accepting the system

Can the business distinguish prediction from intervention?

A planner’s override should not disappear into the same field as the model output. Retain the original forecast, override reason and final plan, then compare outcomes at the appropriate level. Otherwise the organization cannot tell whether model quality improved or whether experienced staff repeatedly rescued a weak result. This is a proposed evaluation requirement, not a claim about a default ForecastPro setting.

Can the code be maintained after transfer?

Ask an internal engineer to run the documented setup in a clean environment and trace one forecast to its input data. Inspect dependency versions, access requirements and configuration conventions. A repository alone is not knowledge transfer. The handover should make the recurring operational tasks understandable, including how a new product is introduced and how a failed run is investigated.

How much of the public performance story applies here?

Tiger publishes benefits and customer examples, but those do not establish an expected improvement for this manufacturer. Require a comparison with the existing method on agreed periods and product groups, with the same information available to both approaches. This review does not verify accuracy, implementation speed or savings. The result should be judged against the decision and ownership requirements the buyer actually has.
